Rio Gold Fly Line features a revolutionary taper design that gives incredible loop stability at distance, a unique profile that allows the rod to load at close range and a front taper that delivers perfect presentation of flies between sizes 22 and 2. Rio Gold is the ultimate all around, floating fly line.

We offer Rio Gold Fly Line in two colors: Moss/Gold and Melon/Gray Dun. The Moss/Gold features a low impact Moss colored head with a hi-vis Gold running line. The Melon/Gray Dun features a Melon colored head with a Gray Dun running line. Rio Gold line also includes a front and rear welded loop for easy rigging. The Moss/Gold color is available in sizes WF3F through WF9F. The Melon/Gray Dun color is available in sizes WF3F through WF8F.

Rio Gold Fly Line is constructed using Rio's MaxFloat and MaxCast technologies. MaxFloat is a proprietary tip coating that floats twice as high as standard fly line tip sections without an increase in line diameter. The MaxCast proprietary formula line coating allows for a higher floating, farther shooting line that lasts longer and stays cleaner than any other fly line on the market today. This advanced hydrophobic design features a sophisticated blend of slickening agents, repels dirt and water and is much easier to pick up of the waters surface.
