444SL's Bass taper is a weight forward design with a short front taper to "turn over" heavier, wind resistant cork, hair body and weighted bass bugs. This is the line of choice if you angle for either smallmouth or largemouth bass in still and moving waters.

They are customized to the line weight to give you tighter loops and better line control. The longer bodies and super smooth finish have been built around a memory free core for greater, hassle free casting distance. 444SL is an extremely high floating, durable fly line that is designed to enhance and maximize your fishing experience.

The "SL" series is Cortland's intermediate class premium line. This "Specialized Line" was developed specially for anglers concerned with distance casting and overcoming wind. It is produced with a unique formula that provides a greater degree of stiffness that other lines on the market. This feature reduces friction caused by line sag between the guides, thus increasing the efficiency and distance of your cast.

The 444SL comes in a fluorescent green color.
