Extremely simple to maintain.
Take front cover off. Unscrew pickup pin assembly clean add oil.
Take back cover off use lithium grease on gear.
Reels extremely smooth after and pickup pins grab and engage very smoothly.
does not hold allot of line. If you get a snag and snap line will have to fill reel again. Maybe 60 ft of 6lb line.

I purchased this for my wife who has been using spincast reels on top of the rod. Not much choices about rod thought she felt the cheap spincasting rod were not srong enough with bigger fish.
Using this with an ultra light spinning rod from Abu Garcia makes it a perfect match for women and kids who could not avoid line nestling with spinning reels.
