I haven't owned the specific model but, have fished with it. I owned a later version of the Zebco 202 though. My fishing buddy owns this one and, he let me borrow it. The great things about it are, that the rod is pretty sensitive for bluegill, crappie and small bass. I would recommend this if you lived next to a creek that held some crappie, bluegill and small bass. It would probably be fun to reel them in with this set. Another thing i like is, that it comes with tackle. I haven't caught one fish with the tackle but, hey! it's still tackle! The things i don't like about it are, the reels gears are made of plastic. Plastic gears end up with you losing money and a fish. They can't hold up fish over 2 pounds and if they did, the reel would be ruined. So, you like small fish? Get it. You like panfishing or ice fishing for panfish? buy it. Anything else, don't buy it.
