These downrigger releases feature inner tension springs which can be moved to adjust the tension. They have a wire cable and florescent orange tape for greater visibility.

This Release is Chinese made garbage. Poor quality material and workmanship. The tension spring is in a clip too small so it does not move. Clip rubs and does not open and close smoothly. I have purchased similar made clips that are slightly longer and work much better. This is just a cheap knock off

Cons: Flimsy Construction

Best Uses: Small Boats
