Waterworks Lamson Velocity Nickel Fly Reels are constructed of machined aluminum and stainless steel, with a beautiful type 2 nickel anodized finish, and further accented with the trademark burnt-orange anodized drag cassette. These fly reels feature a large, ported arbor to quicken line drying and produce a lighter and brighter Velocity version. Like the Velocity Hard Alox, Velocity Nickel reels provide a lightweight but durable fly fishing reel with excellent drag performance, all at an affordable price.
Velocity Nickel Fly Reels are built with the same rock solid, conical drag system as all other Waterworks Lamson reels. The stainless steel zero-lash roller clutch uses ramps and rollers instead of gearing that has teeth or steps, for the smoothest possible transition. No spikes or jolts when the drag is engaged.
