Someone gave my wife and I Stabilicers because we work outside with horses all winter. They are great on the ice and easy to put on and take off. After several years of heavy use, some of the cleats were worn down. I thought I would need to buy new ones until I found the replacement cleats. The cleats were easy to replace and now our Stabilicers are as good as new. The price and shipping cost on FishUSA was the lowest and I received them in 5 days.

The Stabilicer Sport Replacement Cleats I purchased from Fish USA worked like a charm. The package of cleats arrived swiftly;the cleats replaced the old, wornout cleats easily with a pliers and screwdriver. I put them to use immediately, saving at least one debilitating fall on snow and ice. I'm glad I can extend the life of my Stabilicers!!!
Pros: Durable, Good Grip, replaceable cleats - as sharp as new
Cons: None
Best Uses: Winter work

I use the stabilicers but the cleats need to be replaced since they eventually do loosen or wear down. I recommend purchasing them now so you have them when you need them. They last quite a while, but eventually you will need to replace them. It is nice to have them on hand so you are always safe on the ice and snow.
Pros: Comfortable, Lightweight, Durable, Good Grip, Dries Easily
Cons: Eventually loosen
Best Uses: Fly Fishing, Casual Wear, Freshwater Fishing, Winter work

This was the first time I ever used spikes in my felt soles and it was not what I was expecting. When you are used to wearing felt soles only your feet tend to slid across the rocks smoothly. Unfortunatately these made the rocks a whole lot tuffer to navigate. I am still geting used to them, but think I would prefer my felt soles without them.
Pros: Comfortable
Cons: Wears Easily
Best Uses: Freshwater Fishing, Fly Fishing

Stabilicers are a great product. I started using them about 2-3 years ago to hike in the Adirondacks. They are a definite replacement for crampons for all but the highest elevations.

Do not go on the ice without a pair of these. I've tried virtually every type of ice cleat there is! From yaktrax to everything. All other products are inferior to stabilicers. I actually bought them for a buddy for Christmas. Went fishing with him at Flaming Gorge Res. in Utah. I read reviews on this product and was concerned about cleats falling out. None did! Anyway, if you were concerned about it, buy $5 worth of extra cleats. The extra cleats screw in and screw out. Plus if you buy your buddy a pair, the site sends you a $5 off coupon. Can't wait for mine to get here!
