Nice, functional rod case. Found clearance to be a bit tight for spinning rod guides. Once you figure out the combination of putting the sections in and taking them out it does the job. A little more room inside would be nice.
Pros: Nicely made, Functional, Excellant for traveling
Cons: Tight fit - spinning rods, Space for spin rod guides

took a lot of searching to find a hard case that would fit my 2 piece 11'4" G Loomis Float rod. This case fit the bill. This rod has pretty large lower guides but still fits into this case easily. The fellows at FishUSA actually tried the rod in the case at the warehouse before selling it to me, great service!

I received a St. Croix Triumph for Christmas (it was on my list) and it came with a soft nylon case. I think the case would have been sufficient for most but I also kayak and gear gets pushed around in the back of my Forester. I looked for a hard case for better protection and was happy to find a case made for my rod. Four compartments, easy to use opening and the protection I was looking for. I have other rods that I take on fishing trips but this case makes it possible to keep the Triumph in the car all the time for those unexpected opportunities. A+

This is an A1 rod case. I have bought six of these. Four for me and two as gifts. With all of the many different sizes to choose from, it is so great to have a rod case only as long as you need it. Buy one for each rod you own and never get another broken rod while it is in storage or while traveling.

I bought this for my old Wright McGill Trailmaster. It's a 6'6" 4 piece rod and it fits perfectly inside this case. The fabric dividers are a little tight. It can be a bit of a trick to get the rod inside but it's not going anywhere once you do.

Had a very difficult time finding a case that would protect my Raven float rod. Standard fly tubes are too small to accomodate high-frame guides. This St. Croix case was perfect solution! Available in a wide range of sizes to exactly fit my 13' 6" three-piece! Glad I found it!
Pros: Functional, UNIQUE
Cons: none
Best Uses: Centerpinning
Very Good Rod Case

About Me:
Avid Fisher
This is a great rod case for at home storage and travel. Some 9' 4 piece rods have butt sections longer than 30"/31". Most rod cases only accept 30" pieces. This is one of the few rod cases that will accept a 32"+ butt section. The oblong shape is a nice touch, as the case will not roll when laid down. The shape does not complicate inactive storage.
Pros: Easy To Use, Functional, Easy To Maintain, Durable, Length and Price

About Me:

Most other rod cases have a round cross section. The St. Croix traveler cases have an elongated oval cross section that fits the shape of spinning rods well, but this oval shape prevents the case from rolling around. The clasp on the top also is low profile and doesn't hang up on your other gear. The case is strong enough that you can stand on it without crushing the case.
Pros: Durable, Easy To Maintain, Functional, Easy To Use
Cons: none
Best Uses: Ice Fishing, Traveling, Salt Water, Fresh Water
