The St. Croix Imperial fly rod series includes a rod for most any fly fishing situation. From the delicate 6 ft. 2 wt. to the powerful 9 ft. 10 wt. you'll be able to tackle Brook Trout to Tarpon. Blanks are composed of a combination of high-modulus, high strain SCIV graphite and premium SCII graphite. This combination of materials produces rods that feature great strength in the butt sections for faster loading with softer, more forgiving tip sections. The Imperial Series is designed to offer maximum performance with outstanding value.

Additional features of these rods include the following:
  • Advanced high-modulus/high-strain SCIV and SCII graphite blank construction
  • Light and powerful fast actions
  • Premium-grade cork handles
  • Longer handles on switch models for single-handed and spey-style casting
  • Uplocking, machined aluminum reel seats with rosewood inserts on all 2 through 6 weight rods
  • Double uplocking, machined aluminum reel seats with non-removable fighting butts on all 7 through 10 weight rods
  • Aluminum-oxide stripper guides with black frames
  • Hard chrome snake guides
  • Alignment dots
  • Durable, double Flex Coat finish
  • Made in the U.S.A.
  • Lifetime limited warranty backed by St. Croix Superstar Service

All St. Croix Imperial Fly Rods come with nylon covered rod cases with divided liners.

About Me:
I was impressed with this rods construction. From the full Wells cork handle, double striping guides, beautiful tiger's eye color and smooth rod wraps this is a high quality rod. It feels light in the hand and casts much better than my ability to utilize the rod. As a bonus the fabric covered plastic case provides good protection.

Pros: construction, Nice tube included, good casting action

Cons: none
