Shimano Sustain FG Spinning Reels
Free Domestic Shipping On All Shimano Sustain FG Spinning Reels!
Shimano Sustain FG Spinning Reels feature Shimano's X-Ship reel technology which provides rigidity and a tremendous amount of cranking power. By using a large diameter drive gear and moving the pinion gear closer to the center of the drive gear Sustain FG Spinning Reels provide 20% more power. The pinion gear is supported by two A-RB ball bearings providing a smooth, almost effortless retreive while eliminating pinion gear twist and rotor flex common in most spinning reels.
Sustain FG Spinning Reels also feature Magnumlite CI4 Rotors designed to reduce resistance on rotation and to add overall strength. The waterproof Rapid Fire Drag system allows anglers to quickly adjust the drag to the ideal setting during the fight.
With other standard features such as the Paladin Gear Durability Enhancement and the Propulsion Line Management System, Shimano Sustain FG Spinning Reels offer anglers a true state-of-the-art experience, ready for any freshwater or saltwater challenge.

On an 8-1/2 foot St Croix V NSi medium steelhead rod with 12# Berkeley Nanofil translucent line, the 3000 Sustain reel is EXCELLENT for bonefish on the flats of Abacos, Bahamas. Will throw a 1/4 oz skimmer jig out of sight. Haven't been spooled yet... but would consider the 4000 for fish larger than 5#!!!
Pros:
Exceptional drag for fast
,
long running fish.
Cons:
None
Best Uses:
All medium spinning needing substantial
,
light line capacity and smooth drag

i gave two 2500 series reels to my son Alex for a belated birthday gift.
Speed of shipment and the overall quality of the reels far than exceeded his and my expectations ! They worked flawlessly in the winter temps in Northern Florida (low 30's) catching flounder and speckled trout with smooth performance without fail....I will be getting more shortly for the Spring fishing turn on in March.
Pros:
Reliable
,
Overall quality
Cons:
Wish i owned more

All around fishing
