Shimano Sienna RD Rear Drag Spinning Reels

The Shimano Sienna RD Rear Drag Spinning Reels incorporate Shimano's Propulsion Line Management System for longer casts and reduced backlashes. Sienna reels also feature the Super Stopper II instant anti-reverse for solid hooksets with no backplay in the handle. The three shielded ball bearings plus one roller bearing make for exceptionally smooth operation in all reel sizes from the 1000 light action fishing up to the 4000 for heavy freshwater and inshore saltwater applications. The Sienna RD's rear drag system gives the angler convenient, on-the-fly access to the drag.

About Me:

This reel is a good value, entry level Shimano reel that performs very well.  I like the rear drag adjustment when I have a fish on and want to change the drag.  It is a great entry level reel for someone looking for an inexpensive spinning reel that will still give you that smooth Shimano feel.

I am actually using this mostly for ice fishing, though it will also be used some on soft water. Love the rear drag adjustment as opposed to front drag. Really wish it had Shimano's Fightin' Drag. Love that on the Spirex and older Shimanos

Pros: Durable , Line Doesn't Tangle , Smooth Drag System , Smooth Reeling , Easy Casting , Shimano , Rear drag , Reliable

Cons: No Fightin' Drag

I do a lot of striper fishing ususally taking my kids and their friends the rear drag is a huge plus for the kids who have no experience fighting fish. I can adjust the drag without interfering with the catching. Great reel. I own 12.
