About Me:

Nice affordable reel with good quality construction. Very smooth operation. Pairs well with ultralight setup. Nice and strong for bigger fish. The 6.2:1 gear ratio makes it special in it's class. That retrieve speed is a must for upstream spinner fishing for trout.

Pros: Smooth Drag System, Smooth Reeling, very dependable

Cons: none

Best Uses: trout fishing, bass, pan fish

About Me:
I have 5 of the Sedona 4000 FD reels and 4 of the Sedona in the 2500 FD series. I use these reels on steelhead, walleye, small mouth bass, perch, and gills. I`ve owned the Sedona`s reels for many years and had no problem with any of them. They have a good drag system, and the reels itself are smooth in the mechanical end. I spool these reels with mono, fire line, and braid, and have no issues with birds nest. Great reels for the price.

Pros: good drag, very dependable

Cons: none

About Me:
I have 5 of these reels, I have been happy with them, but recently picked up two new 2500's. The first one had a pretty poor drag, the other broke the spool after I landed a 22 lb. Salmon on the river with it. Maybe the fish to reel size wasn't a good match, but I would not expect the spool to bend. I have caught 30+lb salmon on my Saros 2500 with no problems. I will stick to the Saros from now on.

Pros: nice reel for the price

Cons: quality is questionable

Best Uses: river fishing
