Shimano Curado E
Baitcasting Reels

Free Domestic Shipping On All Shimano Curado E Baitcasting Reels!

The Shimano Curado E Baitcasting Reels combine high performance, quality and value. These reels feature oversized High Efficiency Gearing (HEG) in the main and pinion gears for more fish moving power with added torque for casting baits in a variety of shapes and sizes. The Magnumlite spool uses lightweight aluminum alloys and a unique design to move the mass of the spool outward, creating a reel that requires less braking force to subdue gamefish and allows you to cast smaller baits farther and more accurately than ever before. The strong Dartainium drag material allows for a wider range of drag settings and a max drag of 15 pounds.

Curado E Baitcasting Reels comes in a variety of sizes, giving you the ability to match your reel perfectly to the species you're targeting and fishing style you're using. CU300E and CU301E models give you the power and line capacity of a round baitcaster in a sleek low-pro design, perfect for heavy braids, big baits and big fish in freshwater and salt. The CU300EJ features a balanced handle design with a single septon power knob, perfect for jigging applications inshore and beyond.

About Me:
Avid Fisher
I live in North Queensland, Australia and bought my Curado for casting small and medium size lures for Barramundi and other estuary species. I spooled it with 20 lb braid and found it perfectly easy to cast once the casting weights were adjusted. The main things I like are the silky smooth casting, retrieving and the drag is the smoothest I've come across for a reel in this price range. I also like the nice compact size of this reel. The only modification I will make is some after-market drag washers to get another couple pounds of drag pressure due to the power of the fish I am targeting. I used it straight out of the box and had no problem pulling in medium sized Barra but I think if I hook a big one I'll need more drag pressure. In summary I think this reel is great value, it is smooth, strong and out performs many reels I own which cost a lot more than the Curado. And it looks cool. Nice one.

Pros: Smooth Reeling, Durable, Line Doesn't Tangle, Reliable, Smooth Drag System, Easy Casting, Strength

Cons: none

Best Uses: Trolling, River Fishing, Lure Casting

I planned on using this for big bladed bucktails for musky, the funny part is that I bought the wrong model( I meant to by the 300EJ). I like the reel and will keep in for smaller baits. A good mistake I guess!

Pros: Line Doesn't Tangle, Smooth Drag System, Speedy Retrieve ratio, Nice sized reel, Smooth Reeling, Easy Casting

Cons: none

Best Uses: Buzzbaits

I am out on a boat at least twist a month and this addition to my equipment (Shimano Curado 300E)meets all my need for light and heavy applications. I normally use a Shimano, Calcutta TE for Catalina kelp fishing but this reel meets and exceeds in lighter weight and easier casting for longer distances.

Pros: Reliable, Smooth Reeling, Easy Casting, Line Doesn't Tangle, Smooth Drag System, Durable

Cons: none

Best Uses: Ocean Fishing, Shore Casting
