Seaguar Grand Max FX Fluorocarbon Leader Material
Seaguar Grand Max FX Fluorocarbon Leader Material offers all the advantages of original Grand Max, including high impact resistance, but in a more supple and softer formula. Seaguar Grand Max FX is also highly abrasion resistant and features 34% better knot strength than leading competitor fluorocarbons.
Developed with Seaguar's exclusive, proprietary Double Structure Technology, Grand Max FX Fluorocarbon Leader Material are ultra sensitive and ultra soft. Double Strucutre Technology provides two different fluorocarbon formulations, precisely extruded as one solid piece, for a fluorocarbon leader that offers both tremendous strength and extreme sensitivity. As with all 100% Fluorocarbon products, Grand Max FX Tippets are much less visible underwater than monofilament line and virtually invisible to fish. Grand Max FX is also UV resistant, chemical resistant, non-absorbant, high-density and impervious to cold conditions.
We carry Seaguar Grand Max FX Fluorocarbon Leader Material in 25 yard spools in sizes 0X through 7X. Line is clear in color.

Seaguar Grand Max FX Fluorocarbon

Seaguar is the only tippet I use. Nothing works better in the winter time. It's knot strength is superior and it does not lose strength in extreme cold.
Do not use this with a Mono leader unless the leader is 1 or 2 sizes bigger than the tippet your tying on. Seaguar is stronger than mono and will cut right through it with most knots.
Seaguar is usually 10%-20% stronger that other Fluorocarbon tippets of the same size.
This tippet does have a shiny finish to it and in bright sunny days it will reflect light spooking fish (but so do all tippets). Rubbing it in a little dirt/sand will fix this.
That being said, it is completely invisible in the water during over cast/cloudy days!
Pros:
Strong
,
Good For Variety Of Fish
Cons:
New Tippit Spool Sucks
Best Uses:
Fresh Water
,
Ice Fishing
,
Use on a Cloudy Day
