This is by far one of the most productive lures I have seen in a while. I got the 9.5cm in Perch, lipless, and it performed incredible with a fish every 5 min! The lipless would be considered a 'subsurface' to top water range. The faster you reel, the more it stays on top. Letting it pause & drop is also very good as the lure stays totally level while slowly sinking.
The only downside to this lure is that it basically has 2 belly hooks and you can expect some rather tangly hooks ups much to the distress of fish.
I also got the 5 1/4" models, waiting to try, and a few more of the lipped models and expect results in deeper water.
