The reel is very light on the rod, and performs well when casting and fighting fish. The design is simple with no extra screws you need to worry about. I have a 4-5 weignt with a larg arbor, and there is plenty of room for a 5 weight line with 200+ yards of backing. What more do you need? Nothing in my opinion.

I bought this as a backup to a much more expensive reel. When the drag broke on my other reel, it went into use and has been fighting kings and cohos all season on the salmon river. the drag is plenty strong and it's tough enough to bang around unlike my machined aluminum reel. So far I haven't had any problems with grit. It's not the smoothest reel ever but it certainly does it's job.
Pros: Light, Solid drag, Durable
Cons: Looks cheap
