Red Quill
The Red Quill imitates the male Subvaria mayflies, commonly called Hendricksons, in the eastern United States during April and May. This species hatches in most trout streams, often very heavily, producing some of the best dry fly fishing of the season.
These flies are tied on Mustad or Dai-Riki hooks and are hackled with Hoffman (Whitting Farms) hackle.
This fly is available in sizes 12 and 14.
