Description

With the development of the Raven float system, a float is now available for virtually any river condition and depth. Sporting a high visibility red tip and a low visibility black body, these balsa floats feature a high strength one-piece, fiberglass stem. Every float takes 3/32" silicone tubing on the top and 1/16" tubing on the bottom, to allow anglers to quickly change float size or model, without having to cut and re-tie.

The Raven Fast and Medium Premium Balsa Floats are specifically designed for salmon and steelhead fishing in fast currents, with medium water depths of 4 to 8 ft. The "weight" is not the weight of the float itself, but rather the amount of weight in grams that the float will support.

Specifications

These are "loose" floats, meaning they do not come in a separate package. The rubber float caps used to attach the float to the fishing line are sold separately.

This float is best for slower water conditions. They are very durable and very visible. The only thing i wish they had was a chartreuse color and a pink color but other then that they are awesome. I use them for both steelhead and salmon in the great lakes.

Found one in a log jam, tried it out and bought more. Larger floats good for deep runs with heavy weighting. Drifting bags and jigs. Like the balsa better than plastic.
Pros: quality, design
Cons: cost, don't want to lose them

Great floats for steelhead fishing throughout the year. Buy your floats a little bigger than you think. Larger raven floats let you cast further and get your bait down faster.

About Me:

I used this product recently on a river in Ohio for steelhead. I love the way it tracks through the water and it sinks very fast when a steelhead takes it. I used it in a fast to medium deep run of water and it works perfect. Thanks Raven for a great product, and thank you FishUSA [...]. You guys are the greatest.
