RIO Mainstream Trout Fly Line

Double Taper and Weight Forward Floating

RIO Mainstream Trout Fly Line was developed for the new to intermediate level angler looking for a quality line at an affordable price.

Rio Mainstream Trout Fly Lines are individually designed and optimized for each fly rod size. Compared to Rio's lines for more advanced anglers, most Mainstream heads and tapers are slightly shorter, with the total running line length reduced, in order to help the novice angler make the cast. This shorter head length loads a rod easier, with less line out of the guides, allowing the novice to "feel" the line loading the rod.

We stock this line in double taper in line weights DT3F through DT6F, and in weight forward in line weights WF4F through WF8F. This line is lemon green in color.

I used the line on the fast moving sections of the Savage River and loved it. It floated high and had great visibility in the fast water where drag is a challenge. It did require a little cleaning after several hours of fishing to keep it on top which was expected with time on the water.

Pros: High visibility , Easy To Maintain , Durable
