Powell Max Bass Casting Rods

For nearly a century Powell has been a leader in rod design and technology. Powell continues that tradition of excellence with the Max Series of bass casting rods. The Max Series rods are high performance tools designed to give the angler a true advantage while fishing today's bass tournament trails. These lure-specific, moderate fast to extra fast action bass rods are constructed using the "Maxumfiber" material application. Maxumfiber, with an ultra-high modulus, high-resin content, enables Powell to manipulate construction parameters with less material, making the Max much lighter, better balanced and exteremly sensitive.

The Max rods are designed for everything from finesse drop shotting to maneuvering big swimbaits. These super sensitive rods will deliver pin-point casts and stand up to heavy use every time you head to the water.

These rods include the following features:
  • Translucent black Maxumfiber blanks with Armor-coat finish
  • Black main wraps and metallic green trim
  • Fuji Alconite guides
  • Fuji reel seats
  • High-grade cork handles
  • Lifetime Powell backed warranty
Additional specifications for these rods are provided in the table below.

About Me:
Avid Fisher
I needed a 7'+ glass rod to do some deep cranking that wouldn't break the bank and after about a month of searching and reading reviews I settled on this Powell. I was able to take it out the day after it arrived and put it through the paces. The rod preformed exactly as described. Long casts and a moderate action that helped me get more in the boat. No muss no fuss no bling just quality.

Pros: Durable, Flexible, Good Tip Action

Cons: none

Best Uses: Large Fish, Small Fish
