A Pretty Decent Spinner

About Me:
These Panther Martins seem to be of much better quality than those that are made in China. Although they still pale in comparison to their predecessors which were manufactured in Italy. Unlike the other reviewer I lost 90% of the paint on the body within the first 1/2 hour. The blade retained most of it's paint. The old lures had a thinner layer of matte paint airbrushed on a rougher lead body. The new lead bodies are smoother, so the paint has less area to grip. The new paint is more of an gloss enamel. It goes on too thick and dries too hard, leaving it prone to chipping. Overall they are good lures. They send off a lot of vibration, so they will still catch fish even when paintless. If you like to cast near rocks, and you are not accurate 100% of the time, don't expect the paint to hold up.

Pros: They Produce.

Cons: Durability

Good Lure

About Me:
I've used this lure once since I bought it about a week ago in a smaller trout stream. The weight of the lure is great which allows me to cast it out on an ultra-light St. Croix Trout Series Rod. The materials seem of good quality. Casting in a trout stream your lures snag up on all sorts of things and get knocked around on the rocks. I used this lure almost the whole day and I didnt loose any paint off the body. Unfortunately I didnt catch anything with it, which is why I only gave it 4 stars, but then again I didnt catch anything that day with any lure I tried. I recommend this lure and I am sure it will produce later in the season.

Pros: castability, weight, durability
