The Okuma Epixor "B" Series is tournament-grade spinning reel at an great price. This ultra-smooth reel features nine precision ball bearings and one quick-set roller bearing. The Blade Body Design narrows the profile of the Epixor "B" Series' frame which reduces weight and eliminates the extra mass and bulk of the reel. The Epixor "B" Series sets the standard for performance and value. It has an unbelievably smooth feel, and the bail and rotor stop instantly for immediate hook-sets. The Hydro Block, waterproof drag system assures constant drag pressures in all fishing conditions while the AlumiLite, aluminum construction guarantees lightweight durability over the lifetime of the reel.

About Me:
I bought this reel for river salmon fishing with bobber and roe. What a great reel. The casting is excellent and the retrieve is very smooth. I liked it so much that I immediately bought another one! I am a big fan of Okuma reels, I use them for deep ocean jigging as well as finesse salmon fishing. For the price and performance, they cannot be beat.

Pros: Simple, reliable, smooth, Dependable

Sure this reel is no Shimano Stradic, but at this price point you can't beat it. I purchased the 40 a year after receiving the 30 as a gift and that should tell you something.  I fish 85% saltwater, and assuming you freshwater wash the reel after use, it will hold up.  I highly recommend this reel for someone wanting a entry level reel under $75.  I typically fish for mangrove snapper, reds, trout, jack and snook and I have the 40 spooled with 15 lb braid.  Pairs nicely. This reel casts well and has a pretty effective drag. Buy now.

I received one of these reels as a gift and loved it so much I purchased one for my brother. The reel is truly a great value buy, the best bang for your buck, but don't be misled by me calling it a "value" reel as it has great performance. We fish inshore Tampa Bay for Reds and I know I can always depend on it. I would def recommend it to anyone for any type of fishing - saltwater or fresh.

Pros: Easy Casting, Smooth Drag System, Dependable, Smooth Reeling

Cons: none

Best Uses: Ocean Fishing, Jigging, Trolling, Shore Casting, River Fishing
