I used this product on The muskegon river in newaygo michigan. From small trout to steelhead. You have great line control and with the longer rod it's easer to fight the fish. The con's on this is the leangth but it is a must so i advise when transporting along the river you break the rod down so you don't catch it in the trees or brush
Pros: Lightweight, Good Tip Action, Flexible, Durable, Sensitive
Cons: Hard To Transport
Best Uses: River Fishing

About Me:

Awesome in almost everyway, I have the 13'6 sliding rings set up. Got it for xmas last year. Didn't hook anything until this fall and since then it's produced 100's of fish. I out fish anyone of my friends using spinning gear and most fly gear. It takes awhile to get used to casting but I can almost outcast my spinning reel with it now. Only con is moving through thick woods with 13'6 rod but worth the hassle. Tips: Buy Siglon FF 16# or more Use 100% fluoro 8 to 10# "shot line" Use 6 or 8# leader of your choice. I like mono in slower currents for better movement and fluoro in fast current for getting better depth BUY IT NOW
Pros: Lightweight, Flexible, Durable, Sensitive
Cons: none
Best Uses: Steelhead, Large Fish, River Fishing

This was my first centerpin set-up and it seems to work well. The reel has a smooth take and the rod is flexible for playing fish. You can dead drift as far as you can see. I don't really know what an expensive centerpin reel feels like but this one is more than good enough for any beginner/intermediate pinner.
Pros: Good Tip Action, Smooth reel, Sensitive
Cons: none
Best Uses: River Fishing
