The standard for drift fishing

About Me:
Maxima Ultragreen is my favorite line for drift fishing hands down. It is tough, has low visibility underwater and very manageable in a level wind and casts well. Don't get spooked by the price of the bulk spool. If you go through several filler spools each season, a bulk spool will save you a bit of cash in the long run.

Pros: Durable, Line management, low visability

Cons: Line memory, a bit pricey compared to other popular brands

Limp and Tough

About Me:
Advanced
I primarily fish for Steelhead and Salmon in the Pacific Northwest rivers. I use a tiny Daiwa baitcaster, and have tried many brands of fishing line. The Maxima Ultragreen has won out as both tough, since river fishing ends up dragging your line over the bottom rocks frequently, and limp - not taking a set on the small diameter reel, which would lead to overcasts, tangles, and messing with your gear, rather than fishing. I highly recommend this line.

Pros: Tough, Limp

Cons:

Best Uses: River fishing

This line is great.. thats why i always use ultragreen #12 .. this stuff is strong enough to pull a 12lb buck steelhead out of a log jam that it was hung up in.. it also blends in with the color of the water so not to spook the fish.. it is also soft enough to tie pretty much any knot you want..

Pros: tuff, color

Cons: for me their isnt any

Best Uses: salmon, steelhead
