Maxima Chameleon Monofilament Leader Material features Maxima's tough, high durability finish for exceptional abrasion resistance. Popular for use in both freshwater and saltwater environments, this line has the unique property of changing hues to match the color of the surroundings, for invisibility in water that is muddy or lightly stained. Maxima Chameleon Monofilament Leader Material is great for use as fly fishing leader material as well as a general leader material for a wide variety of conventional uses. This line features a stiff formula, harder than Maxima Ultragreen and Maxima Clear leader materials.

I like to use this for the butt section of my fly fishing leaders. It is stiffer than they green and carries the fly out better with less tangles. It is very abrasive resistant.
