Matarelli Whip Finisher
The Matarelli whip finisher is the original whip finishing tool, often copied, but never duplicated. The whip finish is used to complete a fly, tying off the head with the "whip finish knot". Many tyers can preform this knot without the aid of a tool, but for most people, the whip finish tool is the way to produce great results every time you tie a fly.
This tool is used by the some of the FishUSA staff, and comes packaged with a detailed, illustrated instruction sheet on using the tool.
The finisher are made from stainless steel and brass, and measures 4" long. This is the standard version.

Even though there are look a likes made overseas availble, they will never compare to the original. The small differences make a big difference in use. I tie thousands of flies a year, I just happened to wear my old materelli out.
