Lindy Frostee Jigging Spoon

$2.65 - $2.95

The Lindy Frostee Jigging Spoon is a deadly, highly visible, vertical jigging spoon which entices all gamefish to bite. With its slender, aerodynamic profile, the Frostee Spoon falls quickly, yet darts erratically when jigged. This spoon features a Bleeding Bait red treble hook and is deadly when tipped with a small minnow, maggots, waxies, mini-plastics or other tipping baits. Hot glow colors add to the fish attracting qualities of the Frostee Jigging Spoon for dark water and low-light conditions.

The Frostee Jigging Spoon will glow in the dark when charged with a small glow light.

These jigging spoons come one to a package.

We stock the Frostee Jigging Spoon in 1/16, 1/8 and 3/16 ounce sizes.

About Me:

When ice fishing for bluegill, the Frostee Jigging Spoon tipped with a waxworm is one of my favorite lures, and overall is my favorite spoon. The 1/16 or 1/8 ounce sizes in any of the glow colors (blue is my favorite) is a great finesse presentation for panfish. Tip with a waxworm and lightly jig the rod tip. It drives the 'gills crazy.

Pros: Nice size for panfish, Sharp durable treble hook

Cons: Absolutely none

I have been fishing some stained water this winter while pursuing perch, this spoon has done the ticket helping me lure them into my bucket. I have been tipping them with wigglers or minnow heads and thumping it on bottom and the fish find it great in the dirty water.

About Me:

The 1/8 oz gold shiner Frostee Spoon has been an exceptional search lure for locating active perch, crappies and bluegill under the ice in clear, weedy waters. I think this particular lure works best in situations where small sunfish are a primary food source; I believe it represents the profile, colors and movements of a young-of-the-year bluegill better than Forage Minnows, Kastmasters or Swedish Pimples. The Frostee Spoon is rather unique, having a lead-based body and a thin, wide and asymmetrical shape. This results in a heavy lure with a small profile and a strong action, allowing it to be fished effectively in both shallow and deep water. I've found it to be most productive with the treble hook replaced with a single #8 hook tipped with 2 waxworms. The 1/16 oz gold shiner Frostee Spoon (with 1 waxworm on a single #10 hook) is another very productive lure, but many times the panfish have demonstrated a preference for the larger sizes. The glow and bronze colored plastic covering on my first 1/8 oz Frostee fell off after 500 fish or so, but the remaining gold finish kept on getting them! I'm really looking forward to trying these lures in open water.

Pros: Good For Variety Of Fish, Good shallow or deep, Attractive profile and colors, Very attractive action

Cons: Biting fish may eventually wear tape off

Best Uses: Ice fishing, Vertical jigging, Perch and panfish

Ice fished crappies all winter. With 2 holes I fished a 1/16 oz Techni-Glo with small minnow or minnow head in one hole and the same bait on a Northland Forage Minnow in the other. The Techni-Glo caught more fish by a wide margin.

Pros: Irresistible to Fish

Cons: none

Best Uses: Ice Fishing

doesn't need additional weight. i've caught everything from bass, perch, rock bass, sunfish, pickeral and it would probably catch eyes if i was ice fishing on a lake that contained them. great lure but after catching a couple of pickeral the hooks bent while removing the treble hook. i use jigging with 3 lb suffix line.

Pros: Easy To Store, Looks Realistic, Irresistible to Fish, Good For Variety Of Fish, Easy To Handle

Cons: Hooks somewhat weak
