TFX 7040 CT is an excellent blackfishing rod

About Me:
It is especially useful when paired with a lightweight conventional reel. It has great sensitivity and you don't want the reel to take any sensitivity away from it, only add to it.

Pros: Black fishing (east coast), light sensitive rod which can take large sinkers needed when fishing for blackfish on the wrecks

Cons: May need a lighter rod for some other locations and fish species like fluke
