Lamiglas G1000 Salmon & Steelhead Casting Rods

$219.95 - $264.95
The Lamiglas G1000 Salmon & Steelhead Casting Rods have earned their place in angling history by providing high quality, American made rods with a honest value. Each rod has been given a specific name for the technique or territory were these rods excel. Names like "Back Bouncer" and "Kenai Killer" are simply guidelines for these rods, but don't assume these are the sole application in which these rods will work.

The G1000 rods are purebred workhorses, accepting the challenges of demanding fish and techniques, built for a lifetime of heavy use. Features include responsive graphite blanks with Fuji guides and reel seats and comfortable fine-grade cork grips. (Select models feature specialized woven graphite handles for added sensitivity and durability). Rods in this series are one piece and two piece.

About Me:

G 1344T: I needed a two piece rod that I could use with a bait caster, throwing plugs 1-3oz, for stripers in the northeast. The blank is of great quality however the components and finishing are inferior to the 'made in china' rods. The cherry red finish is beautiful but came with a few decent scrapes and a few scuffs and one of the guides creaked while casting and while under pressure. The cork handle is of very poor quality with deep scars covered with a type of putty. the wraps holding the guides are poor with plenty of gaps visible and the epoxy is mediocre except for one guide where the epoxy is terrible. Sent it back with a lot of hassle from customer service got another scratched rod and this one had half of its cork handle sanded and re puttied. Although a great blank will never buy from Lamiglas again.

Pros: Good Tip Action, Lightweight, Sensitive

Cons: Faded Logo, Difficult To Maintain, Came Scratched, Bad Quality Cork Handles, Poor Wrapping, Poor Construction

Best Uses: Decent Distance, River Fishing, Current, Jettie

the rod would cast good but the reel seat and the ring guides are all crooked sent in for another trade but the new one was as crooked as the last. I think lamiglas has an poor quality control over their rods.

Pros: Easy To Transport

Cons: Poor Construction, crooked ring guides

Best Uses: River Fishing
