The Jiffy Mille Lacs Ice Chisel was inspired by a handmade ice chisel used years ago on the legendary Lake Mille Lacs in Minnesota. This chisel uses the same technology as all Jiffy ice blades and enables the user to do things no spud bar can match. The Mille Lacs Ice Chisel features a unique step chisel design that can rapidly chisel a hole, even through three feet of ice! These chisels are great for flaring out the bottom of a drilled hole to make it easier to land the larger fish species.

The Jiffy Mille Lacs Ice Chisel, model 3542, features a one-piece steel design that measures 52" long. Includes a protective cover.

Great Spud

About Me:
I bought this spud for checking the ice as I walk and opening old holes. I wanted something shorter and lightweight that would still cut through the ice. This spud is all 3. I would have liked to see it come with some type of lanyard and rubberized handle wrap for grip/vibration like you see on a lot of the other spuds in this price range. Weighs 4 pounds.

Pros: Cuts Great, Good length, Very Light, Included Blade Cover, Sharp Stepped Chisel

Cons: No Lanyard, No Rubberize Grip

Easily best chisel on the market.

The design of this chisel is such that you can take massive slabs of ice with each strike.  The design also throws the ice away from the hole.  I can go through about 3" of in 15 strikes.  Used this chisel to get a 48" Muskie through a 6" hole I had augered for Crappie.  It is a must have for anyone fishing pannies that could potentially hook something larger and would need to widen the hole.  4 stars because it is not quite as rugged as the one I purchased 4 years ago but the split pipe and welding should hold up fairly well.

Pros: Stepped chisel design.

Cons: No lanyard

Best Uses: First ice, Hole Widening

Loved this chisel. First ice it would chip through 4" of ice like butter. Later season, used it to open old holes in my ice shack. The stepped chisel design, help chip ice in some spots a normal chisel couldn't touch.

Pros: Light, Sharp, Stepped chisel design

Cons: No lanyard

Best Uses: Reopen existing holes, First ice
