 >  > Gary Yamamoto 5" Double Tail Hula Grub

The Gary Yamamoto 5" Double Tail Hula Grub is the top producer in Yamamoto's product line. Swim hula jigs in shallows, bumping along bottom almost like you'd use a big-billed crankbait.

These baits are 5" long. They come 10 to a package. They are the Yamamoto "97" series of bait.

About Me:

I mostly fish these weightless rigged Texas style. They work well fished slow and when that doesn't work try waking them right below the surface. These are very effective baits. I'm surprised they aren't in everyone's tackle bag.

Pros: Easy To Handle, Irresistible to Fish, Easy To Store

Cons: none

Best Uses: Fresh Water, Shore Casting

Fished these weightless like I would a jig on a smallmouth trip to Maine this spring. I used up the whole bag in a day of fishing but I landed dozens of nice fish on them. I'll try them on SMB in New York's fingerlakes this fall. I'm stocking up.

Pros: Looks Realistic, Easy To Handle, Fish eat em, Easy To Store

Cons: none

Best Uses: Shore Casting, Jigging, Fresh Water

Fantastic when used with a football head jig. Throw it out and slowly retrieve bouncing along the bottom. I read about this rig and method some ten years ago and have caught lots of bass. When all else fails...I throw this and it never fails in a pinch. Easy to use and very effective. Buy a bunch!

Pros: Easy To Handle, Easy To Store, Has more moves then ExLax

Cons: May need a dab of glue

Best Uses: Jigging, Great from 10 to 40 feet, Fresh Water
