Like the rod, medium action is accurate...has some muscle to fight bigger fish and flexible enough for smaller ones. Where I ice fish bite is very light most of the time, so using the rod to sense strikes is not an issue. Love the threaded handles, they accomidate the short bases found on Shimano spinning reels.
