About Me:
Fish every day and evening
I have had only a chance to try one of six Tatula reels which I finally received after waiting almost 3 months. Much hype about the innovation design to assist with casting distances. Casting distances are much the same as other Daiwa reels in the same price range. Reeling in with 20 lb braid and 1/2 oz rattletrap lure gives a feeling of dragging against pressure on the spool as if the adjustment was on too much which it wasn't. It is smooth but requires a bit more effort to reel. It is consistent in casting. Drag is easy to adjust while a fish is on. I bought the reels as gifts and did so after reading the reviews prior. The Daiwa Trillionaire is just as good in my opinion. The Quantum Exo is still a better performing reel, just more expensive.
Pros: Price within range
Cons: Performance lacking
Best Uses: weekend fishing
