I use two years SMC704ULFS. I doubt that it is possible to find something better for this money, it is necessary if to catch on the small rivers and not grassed lakes. Compact, easy, flexible and strong it honestly executes the mission for 100%. The parabolic system leaves unforgettable feelings from catching process: fish on other end of a scaffold always seems more, than actually, adding adrenaline.
Qualitative graphite of a spinning of Spinmatic always leaves margin of safety and will cope with any production which suffices a bait. The best choice for catching on small spinners, small-sized wobblers and mikro jigs for this money.
Pros:
Compact
,
easy
,
flexible and strong
Cons:
There is no convenient rigid tube.
Best Uses:
small rivers and not grassed lakes

If you are looking for a lightweight travel rod that won't break the bank, this a great choice. Needed a rod for stowing in the kayak and packing in to lakes that would get light use, wouldn't break the bank (and therefore wouldn't cause me to weep if I broke it in transit!) This rod fits the bill!
Pros:
Excellent price point
,
Packs down nicely
,
Quick action
Cons:
No rod tube included
Best Uses:
None

You do need to use a fairly lightweight reel, because a heavier one seems to unbalance the feel of the rod. I fish for high lake cuts in Colorado and so far the rod has performed. I'll get more experience with it as the season goes on here.
Pros:
Lightweight
,
Well-built
Cons:
None so far
Best Uses:
Fish up to a few pounds
,
Pack rod for spin fishing
