Pro-Cast Fly Rods
Cortland Pro-Cast Fly Rods were designed for outstanding performance and value. Whether you're looking for a nice small trout rod or a rod that will haul in a fresh run salmon, there is a Pro-Cast rod for the challenge. These hand-crafted medium-fast action fly rods look and feel much more like rods at four times the cost but at a value that won't break the wallet. Pro-Cast rods are light in the hand and the quick dampening actions allow for great line control. Powerful enough to reach out and throw a long line when needed, but also soft enough in the tip to reduce break offs with fine tippets.
Pro-Cast Fly Rods feature high modulus, 100% graphite blanks with tip-over-butt ferrule systems. Finished with smooth sanded banks, Pro-Cast Fly Rods have dark grey wraps and hard chrome guides. Reel seats on 3 through 6 weight rods are silver, anodized aluminum with woven carbon fiber inserts, 7 through 10 weight rods feature all silver anodized aluminum seats with fighting butts. Each rod comes in a protective cloth bag.

I broke a rod on a fishing trip in 2012. I picked up a Cortland pro cast rod in a local fly shop. I was so impressed with the action of the rod I wanted to get another one. I have been fly fishing for 30 years and this rod is by far the best rod I have ever had. I cant believe the value in this rod. Outstanding rod and outstanding value.
Pros:
Action is great and the price is incredible
Cons:
None
Best Uses:
Any type of fly fishing

I like this rod for trout fishing in the small streams in Pa. I use it for fishing minnows, I can feel the end of my line and what's it touching. Very important when the fish are pushed back in under the cover. Once hooked it is a fun rod being able to make catching a 9" trout fun but also has the backbone to pull in the 20" class fish.
Pros:
sensitive touch+good backbone
Cons:
None
Best Uses:
bait and fly fishing small streams
