TX-6 Mini Planer Board

by Church Tackle

With Church Tackle's TX-6 mini planer board, you can use lighter tackle with an inline planer board. The clip will hold braided, fused, lead core and monofilament lines. Although it is small in size, this board will still take your lure out where you want it.

The TX-6 mini planer board is great for Walleye, Steelhead, Bass, Crappie and Bluegill. Add these little boards to your fishing arsenal and maximize your fishing potential!

Features of these planer boards include the following:
  • Adjustable clip which can be adjusted to any tension
  • A spring-loaded rear pin for fast and easy removal of the board from the line
  • The bright red color is easy to see and makes flags unnecessary
  • Made of foam filled plastic to give your board floatation.
These planer boards are made in the USA.

These boards measure 5¼" long and 2¼" high and weigh approximately 2.5 ounces.

I use this when fishing from shore with floating and shallowing running cranks in a river. The current needs to be flowing enough to pull it out but when it works it works really well. I will be adding another in case I fish from the other side of the bank!
Pros: Work well with light tackle
Cons: none
Best Uses: Fresh Water

The TX-6 looks great and seems like it will do the job. I have not used them yet but can't wait. I have used a larger Walleye Board for Stripers and they did a great job. I plan on using the TX-6 for crappie along with some spider rigs. I could not give a 5 star rating because I haven't used these yet.
Pros: Small size for intended use.

I recently purchased two Church mini planer boards. They work! They parallel the boat just like the larger boards and have minimum drag in the water. Being "mini" they "read a bite" quickly, work well on light tackle and are can be seen easily.
Pros: Run true beside the boat at any distance, "Read a bite" quickly, Work well with light tackle, Can be easily seen
Cons: Nada!
