Description

The Church Tackle TX-007 Stern Planer is an all new type of professional grade planer. This planer can be staggered to allow for more lines to be run off the back of the boat. Now you can set the lure down to the desired depth and maintain the depth at any distance you choose behind the boat. You don’t have to retrieve or reposition the TX-007 Stern Planer when retrieving your side planers, which gives you added fishing time.

The TX-007 Stern Planer is great for trolling in congested areas and for more effective contour trolling along drop offs, contour lines, reef edges and weed lines in rivers, lakes or the ocean. Take advantage of the prop wash, which moves disoriented bait-fish, sediment and bugs around that attract fish. Although it’s primary use is as a stern planer, it can also run off of outriggers or be used as a buoy marker.

In addition, the TX-007 may be used to take the memory out of mono line that has been spooled a long time on a reel. It attaches to the line with a clip on the nose and a quick snap swivel in back; providing speedy and simple attachment or removal. The TX-007 Stern Planer is not just for walleye; it’s effective for all species including pike, musky, salmon, trout and panfish. The TX-007 Stern planer has so little drag, that you can still see the action of the lure at the rod tip while anchored fishing the river current.

Features of the Church Tackle TX-007 Stern Planer include:

  • Can be staggered
  • Fish at different depths and distances
  • Minimal drag
  • 10 1/4” length
  • Weighs about 3 oz.
  • Suitable for salt water or fresh water

About Me:
Not Specified
I use four of the Stern planers straight out behind the boat when trolling for huge Blue Catfish. This allows me to visually see where the lines at any given time. I use them both fishing on the bottom as well as using them as, large corks, for suspended fishing off the bottom. I also use two down lines besides them and 2 planer boards out each side.
Pros: High Visability, Engage and disengage quickly, durable., Keeps lines from getting tangled
Cons: Small line clips hard to put on line at times.
