longer heads

About Me:

The heads don't grab enough rock. The thickness of moss and muck prevents a good and safe grab. Now that most states requier the use of non felt sole boots this is an important factor in fishing safety.

Pros: Easy To Use

Cons: Poor Design

Best Uses: Fresh Water

Work Great

About Me:

I wade fish a lot on rocky streams and as expected the original cleats started to wear. I did a preemptive replacement before my latest trip to the rock splippery San Juan. Getting the old ones out and putting the new ones in was a snap. Don't wait until the cleats are completely worn down. New cleats = cheap insurance against a fall in the river.

Pros: Easy To Maintain, Functional, Easy To Use

Cons: none

Best Uses: Fresh Water, Salt Water

Very easly to install, but they didn't preform as well as I thought they would, heads should have points on them for better traction.

Pros: Easy To Use

About Me:

I've been fishing for over 40 years. The Chota STL Plus boots are the best I've found. Our streams in PA are rocky, and slippery. The Chota Cleats allow great traction. They do wear down over time but in 5-10 minutes you can replace them and get back out fishing.

Pros: Durable, Functional, Easy To Use, Easy To Maintain

Cons: none

Best Uses: Fresh Water
