The spawn sacs held on the hook with long casts while shore fishing on the north shore of lake superior. They were very durable.

I do agree 100% that the contents in it attract and temps salmon, but they don't bite it. At least not the lake michigan salmon around here. I did not use it in the streams for steelheads and trout.
Pros: good attractant mix, stays on hook
Cons: never got a salmon to bite
Best Uses: None Specified
Good in a pinch...

About Me:

These are great to have on-hand. The sacs are tough and last for many, many casts. In a pinch you can cut the sac open and use as single-egg bait. Only complaint is that these are in glass jars. They're heavy, awkward to pocket or otherwise carry. Not to mention glass makes poor garbage near rocky waterways.
Pros: Looks Realistic, Easy To Store, Easy To Handle, Irresistible to Fish
Cons: Limited Use
Best Uses: Fresh Water
