The bottom part of the rod has a seperated grip and is not one whole piece. Other than that for a combo set has all you need to bring the fish in.

I find this reel has the classic good-looks we expect from Abu Garcia,durable,long-lasting,great drag system.Fits well on any high-end rod.Makes a day on the lake a pleasure!Fits well into your tournament arsenal.Abit pricey,but great investment!
