ACME Little Cleo Spoons

ACME Little Cleo Spoons

$3.35 - $7.95

ACME Little Cleo Spoons are very versatile, taking various species of gamefish around the world. ACME Little Cleo Spoons are available in a wide variety of sizes and colors suitable for use on a variety of gamefish, ranging from trout and panfish to stripers, pike, and muskie.

The unique hump-backed shape of the Little Cleo results in a seductive, wiggling action as the lure is drawn through the water. The illusion created is one of a baitfish, acting in an erratic, confused manner. This triggers the predatory nature of the gamefish to strike. This appeal to fish explains Little Cleo's fantastic success as the one lure that takes all gamefish.

We carry the ACME Little Cleo Spoons in the following sizes:

CF-190 (1/16 oz.) - used for ultra light spinning or spincasting with 2-4 pound test line.

C-180 (1/8 oz.) - used for ultra light to light spinning or spincasting with 2-4 pound test line.

C-160 (1/6 oz.) - used for ultra light to light spinning or spincasting with 2-4 pound test line.

C-140 (1/4 oz.) - used for light spinning or spincasting with 4-6 pound test line.

C-100 (1/3 oz.) - used for light to medium spinning, spincasting and trolling with 4-6 pound test line.

C-200 (2/5 oz.) - used for medium to medium-heavy spinning, trolling and baitcasting in still or running water with 8-12 pound test line.

C-230 (2/3 oz.) - used for medium to medium-heavy spinning, trolling or baitcasting in swift or deep running water with 8-12 pound test line.

We have used these lures for lake trout in Canada and have had excellent results. We have tried other spoons with little luck. We ran into some friends from our home town that were fishing the same lake and using another brand of spoon. We were on the lake for about an hour and a half and had caught our limit and the only had 1/3 of there limit. Use the little Cleo's and catch fish.

About Me:
I use these spoons extensively for late fall and early spring salmonoids. They are durable and I have caught a pile of fish on them. When trolling or casting make sure the action on them has a pumping action. If they flip flop back and forth the retrieve is too slow, if it spins it is too fast. A pumping action side to side turns on any fish. I have caught perch, pike, bass, all species of salmon, catfish, carp on these spoons. The fish can't leave them alone. One afternoon over a 1.5 hr stint I landed over 20 spring coho and who knows how many more got off. This is an A1 lure....

Pros: Durable, strong, catches fish

Cons: I have a pile of other spoons that never get used

The Little Cleo Spoons are the best bait that i have found for catching Steelhead in Lake Erie in the late summer and the early fall. Also they work great in deeper sections of rivers. In mid-summer believe it or not they also work great for catching small mouth in the rivers around here. Technique wise what you want to do is make short cast and lift that rod tip as high as you can and bounce the spoon across the top of the water. Believe it or not the smallies come flying out of the water for them. A ery versital bait that I recommend to anyone.
