Penn Conquer Spinning Reels incorporate the EAS Easy Access System which is a maintenance hatch that gives you full access to the gear box. This system allows for all the gearing to be lubricated in a matter of seconds without the fear of parts falling out. A single set screw holds the hatch in place. The EAS system will keep these reels in top performing shape and is much easier to use than totally disassembling the reel.
The Conquer series reels also feature fully anodized and machined aluminum superline spools. A rubber gasket at the base of the spool keeps superlines and braids from slipping and eliminates the need for backing. The spool lip is constructed from Penn's Eternal Alloy material. This proprietary metal resists scratching and denting for great casting performance over the lifetime of the reel. Eternal Alloy is twice as strong as titanium, three times harder than steel and six times harder than aluminum.
All Penn Conquer Spinning Reels have a smooth drive thanks to it's ten shielded ball bearings and instant anti-reverse bearing. The HT-100 drag system ensures strong performance, even under the heaviest drag loads. These reels are perfect for any freshwater/saltwater excursion whether your using traditional mono, hi-tech fluorocarbon or the latest braided line.
