The Okuma T-40X Salmon & Steelhead Casting Rods feature a 40-Ton carbon, ultra-sensitive construction, custom 1K woven "Carbon Cone" fore grips, and either a full carbon butt grip (on Salmon models) or a custom 1K split grip (on Steelhead models). The split grip butt reduces weight and improves rod and reel balance. The tip over butt ferrule connection provides maximum strength and durability. Stainless steel hook keepers are strategically positioned based on the rod technique.

Features of the T-40X Salmon & Steelhead Casting rods include:
  • 40-Ton carbon blank construction
  • Custom 1K woven "Carbon Cone" split rear grip on Steelhead rods (handle style A)
  • 1K woven full carbon butt grip configuration on Salmon rods (handle style B)
  • Custom 1K woven "Carbon Cone" fore grips on all models
  • Customized painted reel seat with Fuji cushioned hoods
  • Super hard ALPS aluminum oxide L-ring guide inserts
  • ALPS deep press stainless steel guide frames
  • Stainless steel hook keepers
