Blue Diamond Trolling Rod Combos
We have put together several combinations offering a great value on Okuma's flagship Catalina 45D Linecounter Reel and your choice of length of an Okuma Blue Diamond trolling rod ranging from the 7½' medium action rod for use with planer boards to the 10' heavy action rod for use with Dipsy Divers.
This combo's components are described below.
Okuma has introduced another value-packed trolling rod line-up with its Blue Diamond Series. With advances in today's rod building technology, Okuma has incorporated many high-end features into the multi-purpose Blue Diamond selection. Each rod is made with an E-glass core and an outer layer of graphite, resulting in a light weight rod with superior strength and a super responsive action.
These rods feature a triangular fore grip that prevents the rod from twisting while you are fighting a fish. These rods also have super hard plated gold guide inserts that will withstand the abuse of wire and braided lines. The color and finish of these rods match nicely with the Catalina 20D trolling reels.
We carry nine models of the Okuma Blue Diamond rod. The BDC 762ML is a 7½' rod used for downrigger or planer board trolling. The BDC 802H 8' and BDC 1002MH 10' rods are used for dipsy diver trolling or mooching. The BDC 862ML and BDC 862M 8½' rods are designed for downrigger trolling. The BDT-902M 9' and BDT-1002M 10' rods feature standard guides with sensitive Twili-Tip tip tops and single rear roller guides for use with wire lines. The BDTR862MH-1 8½' and BDTR1002MH-1 10' rods are all roller guide models, designed for trolling wire line.
