The Okuma Aveon has been designed with features that in the past were not thought possible except on very expensive reels. The aluminum frame and rotor housing the 11 High Performance bearings insure smooth operation and corrosion resistance. This reel also features Okuma's patented "EOS" (Elliptical Oscillation System), aluminum machined one-touch folding handle and ported spare spool.
Features of the Aveon models include the following:
- Okuma's "ALC" - Aluma-Lite body and rotor construction
- Okuma's "QuickSet" infinite anti-reverse one-way bearing
- 10+1 sealed High Performance ball bearings for ultra-smooth operation
- EOS - Elliptical Oscillation System
- Lightweight CNC machined aluminum ported spool
- High quality multi-disc felt drag system
- Water tight drag seal that keeps the drag smooth even in wet conditions
- Reversible right and left hand retrieve
- *AE-45 has a bigger knob on the handle, as seen in the picture to the right.
Each model includes a spare ported aluminum spool and a cloth reel bag. These are all front drag reels.
