The Okuma Avenger "A" Series spinning reels offer a tremendous value in durable, super-smooth six ball-bearing front drag reels. Okuma has done it again by increasing the spool capacities for each size Avenger "A" while decreasing the overall weights, thanks to the totally redesigned spools and and thinner, stronger blade bodies. The patented Elliptical Oscillation System provides a smoothness normally found in reels priced much higher than the Avenger "A" Series.
Standard features of the Avenger "A" Series spinning reels include:

- 6 precision ball bearings
- RES II Rotor Equalizing System
- Lightweight ported aluminum spool
- Helical cut brass pinion gear
- High quality Japanese oiled felt drag washers
- Hydro Block water tight drag seal

- Corrosion resistant graphite body construction
- Reversible right and left hand retrieve
Each model includes a spare graphite spool.
Avenger "A" Series spinning reels models AV-15a - AV-40a feature standard handle grips. Models AV-55a - AV-80a feature larger "T" shaped handles.
