If you have ever attempted to travel with your rod and reel, you have experienced a cumbersome time handling it in transit or on a plane, not to mention in a car or truck. If you are looking for a multi-use rod with a protective case in an easy-to-carry size, this Browning Fly/Spin Rod with Travel Case is for you.
The rod is a 7' 6" Browning MicroMedallion 4 piece rod rated for 4 or 5 weight fly lines and light spinning applications. The rod comes set for spin fishing, but is easily converted to a fly rod by separating the handle above the fore grip, flipping the handle around and reattaching it. Features of the rod include quality graphite construction, a genuine Fuji reel seat (uplocking as a spin rod and downlocking as a fly rod), a hook keeper and quality cork handles. It is finished in a rich burgundy color and has six spin fishing-style guides (including the tip-top). It is Browning model MMP7645.
The case is just the right size to protect the MicroMedallion rod with room for either a spinning or fly reel and some extra leaders and tippet material. The overall length of the case is 28". It is made of durable Cordura covering a hard inner tube. There is cushioning inside the reel section, as well as mesh sections to hold accessories in place. The reel area opens and closes with a zipper. The case has a carrying handle and the Browning logo embroidered on the reel area.
This makes the perfect combination for traveling long distances to your favorite fishing spot with the peace of mind that your fishing pole is protected.
