The Pflueger Trion rods and Pflueger Supreme reels combine excellent quality with excellent value. We have put together four combinations for your angling pleasure at an even better price than buying the rod and reel separately.
The Pflueger Supreme series fly reel features a machined aluminum anodized gold frame, side plate and spool, an exposed palming ring, a natural wood-grain handle, a quick-release spool and a quick right/left hand conversion.
The Pflueger Trion fly rods are made with IM-8 graphite blanks. Features of these rods include Fuji aluminum oxide stripper guides and stainless steel snake guides, a hardwood body reel seat with aluminum rings and hoods, top-grade cork grips and a hook keeper. They have a beautiful high-gloss burgundy finish.
Each rod also comes with a very attractive hard Cordura tube which is maroon in color and has the Pflueger logo. The 8 and 10 weight model rods also include a 2½" removable fighting butt. These are all 2 piece rods and all have 8 guides plus the top-tip.
The first two combos, with the 1856 reel and either a 5 weight or 6 weight rod, are great for trout. The combo with the 1878 reel and 8 weight rod is great for steelhead and bass, and the combo with the 1890 reel and 10 weight rod is great for salmon and big water fishing.
