G. Loomis NRX PRO-1 Saltwater Fly Rods are the ultimate in power, performance and feel in a series of saltwater fly rods. Experience a level of sensitivity so intense that you'll feel everything that happens to your fly and you'll be ready when that fish of a lifetime makes his move. The other major advantage of NRX is the durability! It features a unique resin system that incorporates nano-sized silica particles to increase the bonding surface within the matrix of the graphite fibers, providing incredible structural strength, allowing anglers to concentrate on fighting the fish without fear of rod failure.

NRX PRO-1 Saltwater Fly Rods feature an improved guide system that uses three Fuji titanium stripper guides in combination with the new "smoke" RECOIL guides. This system reduces line noise and offers smooth, friction-free line movement when casting and fighting a fish. NRX is the culmination of years of research by the G.Loomis engineering team and a boon for saltwater fly rodders everywhere. It's what you've come to expect from the leader in fly rod technology!

Choose from the original NRX 'stealthy' matte Black/Blue wrap blank, and the more traditional Evergreen color. Available in 8, 9, 10, 11 and 12 weight models.

  • NRX 1068-1 PRO-1 / NRX 1068-1 PRO-1 G - The 8-weight fly rod is considered the best all around rod for open water, flats fishing. It's most popular for bonefish, snook, redfish, and a number of other saltwater species. The one-piece design is the major factor in weight reduction. It has a very fast taper for creating nice, aerodynamic loops for longer casts, even in the wind. It's extremely quick and surprisingly powerful. A must have rod for any serious saltwater angler, especially for those that keep their rods in their boat!

  • NRX 1069-1 PRO-1 / NRX 1069-1 PRO-1 G - This is the ultimate 9-weight. It is designed for larger flies, bigger fish and wind.
