The G. Loomis Jig & Worm Rods are the core of the Loomis Jig & Worm series. All models are uniquely built to be as versatile and as strong as possible. Since the most important aspect of fishing jigs and soft plastics is sensitivity, Loomis outfitted these rods on the strong and sensitive MossyBack blended blank series.

The actions are very fast, enabling you to use a much shorter casting stroke that just loads and locks. Not having to wait for the rod to load results in more accuracy and repetition. These rods have dynamic rod tapers. The result is an unbelievably sensitive, feather-light fishing instrument that will give you total confidence and improve your success immediately.

  • BCR663 - A very compact, all around casting rod for fishing light to medium-heavy jigs and worm rigs in close quarters where casting room is a concern. It's a fairly powerful rod with enough tip to accurately zip baits into heavy cover. It has an extra-fast tip which provides excellent line and lure control, plus it has the punch to pull a fish away from heavy cover if necessary.

  • BCR802 - This model is an excellent 10-pound line rod for lighter duty, clear water applications. It has a nice soft tip for casting smaller worms, jigs and grubs, but has surprising power in the butt section.

  • BCR803 - This rod balances perfectly with 14-pound line, 3/8-ounce jigs, and 6" worms. It moves big fish with surprising ease and still feels like a feather in your hand. This amazingly versatile rod might be described as the best all around rod of the bunch.

  • BCR804 - This model is a powerful jig and large worm rod for fishing in close around heavy cover. It has a magnum butt to move fish to the boat in a hurry and still has enough tip to cast smaller baits when necessary. Loomis describes this model as a 20-pound line rod for "serious pitching".

  • BCR852 - The 852 is a nice, light tip rod with a powerful butt-section that makes it a perfect choice for fishing lighter line and smaller jigs, especially in clear water when you need longer casts and more leverage for a long range hookset. If you are looking for an awesome buzzbait rod, you found it.

  • BCR853 - Designed as a really well balanced worm for for deep-water applications, it performs outstandingly in open-water situations where the cover isn't too thick. However, it will surprise you when you need to put the pressure on a larger bass. The extra fast taper makes this an accurate caster and a good choice for medium sized baits.

  • BCR854 - A very effective deep-water jig rod for fishing in relatively heavy cover, it has the power to move a fish to the boat now, yet it's light as a feather and you can fish with it all day long... no sore muscles, no fatigue, no problem. Its extra length means that casting range is extended.

  • BCR855 - This is the ultimate heavy-cover jig/worm rod. Peg a one-ounce worm sinker on your line and pitch it into the nastiest stuff you can find and this rod will handle it. With this model, it is possible to fish the hydrilla, the trees, the cypress knees, and the buck brush. This is an excellent peacock bass rod.

  • BSR801 - When you need to fish lighter line or smaller, lighter baits in really clear water, a spinning rod is a great option, but not just any spinning rod. The 801 has a truly extra-fast taper for accurate, pinpoint casts and enough power to move a fish away from trouble in spite of the whisper-thin line.

  • BSR802 - Small worm/jig head combos, 5" grubs, small top waters, little jigs, gin-clear water, just enough wind to make casting to finicky bass tough. A tough proposition? You Bet! Here's our answer: an ultra-sensitive spinning rod designed especially for finesse fishing.

  • BSR803 - With an ultra-sensitive spinning rod especially designed for finesse fishing it is possible to fish small worm/jighead combos, 5" grubs, small topwaters, little jigs, in gin-clear water, with just enough wind to make casting tough to finnicky bass. Good for when the cover gets thicker and the fish are deeper.
